	About the Clinic

Wally Doggett and Kelly Jennings

South Austin Community Acupuncture was founded by Wally and Kelly in 2006.

Both are graduates of the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (now AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine) and licensed by the State Medical Board to practice acupuncture in Texas.

In addition to his studies at AOMA, Wally apprenticed with acupuncturists Allen Cline and James Phillips, as well as senior herbalist Dr. Wu Peirong at Turtle Dragon Health Services while a student. Wally also serves on the board of the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed acupuncturist who presently serves as Director of Finance and Accounting at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in addition to keeping the business side of SACA running smoothly.

South Austin Community Acupuncture grew out of a desire to create a neighborhood clinic that represents a natural expression of ourselves into the community we live in.

Mike Sobin

Mike Sobin is a graduate of AOMA and licensed acupuncturist. He ran our front desk and managed our database most of the time he was in acupuncture school, and now joins us as a practitioner. Mike comes to Oriental medicine by way of a Masters in Public Health from UT Houston School of Public Health. He also has a degree in History, and is heavily involved in the local dominoe scene. Does not pick up on sarcasm.

Erica Chu

One of the friendly voices answering your calls belongs to Erica Chu. She too is a student of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at AOMA and can frequently be seen making breakfast taco deliveries to Wally. She is a born and raised Texan and sees herself as a lover of foods and a thinker of things.
